Our Process
From first contact to final shipping, Superior Surfaces follows a methodical process to deliver durable, visually striking surfaces. Here’s how it works:
Discover and Assess Your Needs
Every project begins with a conversation. One of our team members will speak with you to learn about your space, your style, and how your surfaces need to perform. We know that every project is unique, so we take the time to understand your vision before providing a quote.
Design a Custom Surface Solution
Our in-house designer works with you to bring your vision to life. We consider colors, edge styles, finishes, shapes, dimensions, and installation location. And we give you ample time for feedback and revisions before we move forward.
Cut and Prepare the Substrate
Once the design is finalized, our fabrication team gets to work. We precisely cut wood to the shapes and dimensions of your final surface, whether that’s table tops or cabinets. We’ll also shape the surface’s edge to your desired style. Then, we’ll prepare the substrate for the next step.
Powder Coating
Here’s where the magic happens. We apply a powder coating that bonds to the wood surface at a molecular level. The powder coating creates a durable, weather-resistant finish that won’t chip, fade, or stain.
Optional Customizations and Finishing
After powder coating, we can apply optional customizations and finishes specific to your desired application:
- Vinyl transfer graphics featuring your logo or other visuals
- Dye sublimation to create a surface finish that resembles marble, wood grain, or stone
- Restaurant-grade sealant for added durability and moisture resistance
- Antimicrobial coatings for healthcare and institutional applications
Quality Check and Customer Review
Before we ship your finished surfaces, our team meticulously checks them against your order to ensure everything is perfect. You’ll also have a chance to review photos of the finished product.
Final Delivery
Our team carefully packs your order before shipping it to you. Now, all that’s left is for you to enjoy durable, low-maintenance surfaces that stay beautiful wherever you use them.
